Here’s what your skin is trying to tell you

Ever wished you could just ask your skin what the problem is? Us too. That’s why we’re breaking down what your skin is telling you in our latest blog post.
There are so many ways your skin tries to communicate with you, from dry patches and random spots to bags under your eyes.
What’s happening on your skin is a reflection of what’s happening inside your body, so it’s important to understand the signs and symptoms. Here are a few ways you can try to decipher what your skin is telling you.
Random spots:
Pimples happen when your skin is clogged with oil. While random breakouts happen to the best of us, recurring spots in the same places could mean a number of things.
If you keep getting pimples near your hairline, your shampoo, conditioner, and other hair products may the culprit. Similarly, acne on your cheek could be attributed to dirty pillowcases, touching your face too much, or even your phone case.
However, if you aren’t prone to spots, a sudden pimple could also be due to stress. Try meditating or taking it easy for a few days and see if that helps solve the problem.
Dry skin:
There are many different types of dry skin, and most of us suffer from it occasionally.
Most of the time, dry, itchy skin can be easily attributed to the weather. Changing seasons, as well as spikes and drops in the temperature, will cause your skin to dry out. If this is the case, investing in a good moisturiser or lotion and drinking lots of water may be able to help.
If you notice that your dry skin starts popping up after using a certain product, then you might be sensitive - or even allergic - to a particular ingredient. If that’s the case, read the label and see if there’s something that stands out.
Bags under the eyes:
While the easiest solution for under-eye bags is getting more shut-eye, it’s not always that simple.
If you have dark bags under your eyes, your first step should be to adjust your sleep schedule. However, if that doesn’t fix the issue, under-eye bags could also be caused by sinuses, allergies, and even salty foods.
Some easy solutions to the dreaded dark eye bags are drinking more water, reducing your salt intake, and drink less alcohol. Also make sure to take off your makeup each night, as it can irritate the eyes and cause the skin to swell.
When is it time to consult a doctor?
You know your skin the best.
If something seems out of the ordinary or if the problem persists, check with your doctor. Things like infections, autoimmune diseases and hormonal imbalances, could be the cause of changes in your skin.
Try Absolute Collagen:
Adding a collagen supplement like Absolute Collagen into your daily routine can also improve your skin.
