5 things you should do every morning

Never underestimate the power of the morning routine.

Creating a list of things to do in the morning can lead to a more productive, calm, and stress-free you. So many successful people swear by the power of a morning regime, including Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey and our very own Maxine Laceby.

From making your bed to drinking water, here are a few things to do in the morning to start your day off right.

Stop hitting snooze

We know that this is easier said than done. But it’s important to wake up at the same time every day because it helps you establish a better sleep pattern. This will help you fall asleep better at night, as well as make those morning wakeups a lot easier. Having a set wake-up time also improves alertness - goodbye AM grogginess! - and brightens your mood.

Make your bed

Making your bed in the morning sets the tone for the rest of the day. Think of it this way: it can be the first task you accomplish every day. Who doesn’t want to get a headstart on that to-do list? Plus, a tidy bed equals a tidy space, which can help reduce stress.

Drink water

When you wake up in the morning, grab a glass of water instead of reaching for the coffee pot. Drinking water helps rehydrate your body, fuels your brain, and even improves metabolism and rids your body of toxins. Oh, and on top of all of that, a morning glass of H2O can even increase energy levels and improve skin texture.

Stretch it out

Another one of our things to do in the morning is stretch. Taking a few minutes to stretch out your muscles is a perfect way to get your body ready for the day ahead, especially if you work in an office job where you’ll be hunched over all day. You don’t even have to hit the yoga mat to do it. Some simple stretches can be done straight from your bed, and will only take a couple of minutes.

Take Absolute Collagen

Last but not least, your body will thank you for taking a daily dose of collagen every morning. While you can take Absolute Collagen any time, taking it first thing after you wake up will help curb appetite, as well as kickstart your body’s collagen production.

A lot of our #Absoluters take their dose straight from the sachet in substitute of breakfast. Or, if you love brekkie, you can always mix a sachet in your porridge, cereal, smoothies, or even squeeze it into a cup of coffee or tea. Find out more ways to take Absolute Collagen here.

Hopefully, these simple things to do in the morning will make you feel productive, healthy, and happy. Share your morning routine with us by tagging #absolutecollagen on Instagram!
