Here at Absolute Collagen HQ, we usually get great-feedback on the taste of our unique marine collagen formula which is flavoured with yummy lemon.

But we can’t please everybody - and from time to time we do get asked if Absolute Collagen can be blended with anything to help with taste.

We are pleased to confirm that our ready-mixed, 10ml liquid formula can be popped into any warm or cold drink of your choice - in fact we have #absoluters who use their Absolute Collagen in replacement of sweetener in their morning cup of coffee!

We thought we would share with you some of our favourite smoothie recipes where the addition of an Absolute Collagen sachet is just perfect.

Absolute Collagen Ready Mixed Sachet

Also - even if (like us!) you love the taste and syrupy-consistency of Absolute
Collagen - it is still worth giving these a try as smoothies have so many benefits.

Did you know they could even help you lose weight? The obvious way is through meal replacement - but even the clever addition of berries will help. Berries contain a secret weight-loss ingredient called flavonoids. It is suspected the humble blueberry may even stop fat cells from developing!

Aside from this - smoothies are also a great way to hydrate. It can seem a bit daunting to consume the recommended 8 glasses of water a day - but if you opt for a milk or water based smoothie you are also ticking the hydration box!

Rich in fruit and vegetables - smoothies can also help to aid digestion by containing some of your 5-a-day. Coconut has omega-3 fatty acids which help to keep our brains working in tip-top condition.

Dairy-based smoothies containing yoghurt and milk will also boost your calcium intake which is imperative for strong and healthy bones.

And the addition of protein-rich Absolute Collagen will help you feel fuller for longer and stop you snacking in-between meals. Absolute Collagen is also a powerful antioxidant which, amongst other things, helps to prevent heart and other diseases.

Absolute Sunshine Smoothie

  • 150g Vanilla Greek Yoghurt
  • 120ml orange juice
  • 1 Absolute Collagen 10ml sachet
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • Ice cubes

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. The addition of honey, ginger and lemon in this one is a great immune booster and pick-me-up!

Absolute Collagen Sunshine Smoothie

Blueberry Boost Smoothie

  • 100g frozen blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 1 Absolute Collagen 10ml sachet
  • 120ml milk of your choice
  • 150g Greek yoghurt

Place all of the ingredients in your blender until smooth. The blueberries in this will give a fat-prevention punch!

Absolute Collagen Blueberry Boost Smoothie

Pink Raspberry Smoothie

  • 150g Greek Yoghurt
  • 1 10ml Absolute Collagen sachet
  • Handful fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • Juice of ¼ of a lemon
  • Ice cubes

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. The tart raspberries and lemon juice go great with the sweetness of the honey.

Absolute Collagen Pink Raspberry Smoothie

Absolutely Tropical Smoothie

  • 1 fresh or frozen banana
  • 2 tablespoons dried coconut
  • Drop vanilla essence
  • 1 10ml Absolute Collagen Sachet
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
  • 120ml coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seed

Blend all ingredients together until smooth - add ice if you like it. This tropical drink contains coconut and hemp - great for omega-3 fatty acids.
