Absolute Collagen's Stud Box in Attitude Magazine
January 18, 2018
When Maxine Laceby created Absolute Collagen, she only had one goal: make a convenient and cost-effective product that delivers maximum benefits to users. She wanted all of the bang without the massive price tag.
While it was originally developed as an effortless beauty routine for ladies, Maxine noticed early on that men weren’t as lucky. There wasn’t a single drinkable collagen supplement for the guys to enjoy.
Male grooming is a booming, multi-billion pound industry, and it’s only getting bigger: it’s estimated that by 2024, it will be worth over £20 billion pounds.
So why was it that ingestible collagen products for men are lacking on the market? Shouldn’t everyone, regardless of gender, get the opportunity to enjoy glowing skin, nails, and hair in the most convenient way?
That’s why last autumn, we launched the Stud Box, the male version of our daily collagen supplements. We became the first in the UK to create a men's ingestible beauty product.
Maxine’s decision to target a male audience was recently written about in Attitude Magazine. She talks about developing the Stud Box, and how Absolute Collagen came to be.
“After being so well received by women – Maxine noticed a gap in the market when it came to ingestible beauty products for men.
Collagen nourishes from the inside and feeds your skin – encouraging the fibroblasts responsible for collagen reproduction to kick-start giving smoother, plumper and hydrated skin.
Equally each dose is high protein – perfect for lean muscle gain thanks to the collagen promoting the natural production of creatine.
Aside from this – collagen is also beneficial for hair, nails, tendons, ligaments, joints and blood vessels – literally being the ‘glue’ which holds us together.”

We firmly believe that beauty has no gender, and we’re so proud that others are seeing the importance of skincare for both men and women.
