As always, January has been an incredibly fast month! I seem to wake up on a Monday, blink, and next thing I know, it's Friday! And now we are in a new decade... how did that happen? Time is moving so fast these days.

We’re a month into the new year, and I don’t know about you, but I’ve been seeing a lot of ‘New Year, New You’ messaging. It’s always an interesting one. Personally, ‘New Year, New You’ is something I struggle with. Why do they (whoever ‘they’ are) assume we want to be new versions of ourselves? I’m happy with who I am. All I want is to be and feel like the best version of myself, on the inside and out.

I’ve also been busy doing my bit for the girls, too. It’s my absolute mission to support all women. And not just other entrepreneurial women, but also normal women who often don't recognise their worth.

Not recognising your worth is a trait I see in myself. We often underestimate the impact the support and love we offer our families on everything we do on a daily basis. We pave the way for them to ‘become’ whatever it is they desire to be. In my mind, this is one of the most important roles on the planet, supporting the future and encouraging them to become the best they can.

What I got up to this month:

BBC WM invited me to their studio for a live interview. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the presenters, Elize and Daz, as well as sharing my story. You can catch the whole interview below:

Speaking of the BBC, I made my debut this month on the BBC’s Inside Track programme to discuss how I went from a happy stay-at-home mum to CEO of one of the fastest-growing beauty brands in the UK. You can watch that interview here

I've also had some interviews in national papers, like The Sun and The Daily Mail. Look out for them and let me know what you think. I love hearing from our #Absoluters!

Last month I talked about working with The Prince's Trust. Well, they have invited me to become a mentor. This month I've started my training and I'm so excited to get going with such an amazing organisation.

Last but not least, I had the pleasure of attending Royston Blythe’s rip-roaring annual part. It was a blast. Royston and Nick have been taking Absolute Collagen since we launched and love the results they’re seeing.

Stay tuned for these upcoming events:

I've been invited to talk at some amazing women's events over the next few months. There's more to come later in the year! Again, this is all about encouraging women that they are incredible and have transferable skills. You'll often hear me saying everything I use in my business, I learned from being a mother and a woman.

One of these upcoming talks is at an International Women's Day event, which I'm very excited about! The Women In Leadership Event is happening on March 05 at The Copthorne Hotel, Merryhill, West Midlands. Tickets are free and can be found here: https://www.blackcountrychamber.co.uk/events/05032020/women-in-leadership/

And, just in case you missed it on our social media feeds, if you haven't already seen it here is our 2019 year in review video!

Here’s to an exciting February!
