Eva Proudman answers ‘is collagen good for hair’ in our latest Q&A

Good news, #Absoluters! All your hair questions are now answered, including the most important one... ‘is collagen good for hair?’

We recently had the wonderful Eva Proudman in house to answer all your hair-related questions, including ‘is collagen good for hair?’  She’s a top UK trichologist and AC’s resident hair expert!

We’ve had many questions from our #Absoluters about how Absolute Collagen can help hair and scalp, so we thought we’d do a Q&A session.

Eva joined our lovely founder and CEO, Maxine Laceby, for a wonderfully insightful Q&A session, which you can watch below.

Eva was on hand to answer any questions you may have about hair, including how collagen can help keep your hair happy and healthy. Meanwhile, Maxine handled any questions you had about collagen in general.

Thanks to everyone who sent in their questions! You can watch the Q&A session below to hear all the advice Eva has, including why collagen is good for hair.

Here’s a snippet of what they covered in the Q&A:

My hair is getting thinner and thinner. Will Absolute Collagen help?

Eva sees a lot of people at her clinic with this same problem. While many aspects like diet, lifestyle, and pathology affect thinning hair, Absolute Collagen can help improve texture. Collagen supports the structure and maintenance of the hair, as well as encourages healthy growth. Many #Absoluters see changes in the thickness of their hair after taking Absolute Collagen.

Will Absolute Collagen help to actually replace lost hair, instead of just aiding hair loss?

If your hair loss is temporary, Absolute Collagen can definitely help. Collagen contains amino acids that provide the body with the building blocks to create more hair. It also helps fight damage and protects hair against free radicals that harm your hair follicles.

How long does it take to see a difference in my hair after using Absolute Collagen?

As Eva mentions, this really depends on the individual. During her perception trial, she saw a change in hair texture in as little as two weeks. However, it’s important to remember that every person is different. While some #Absoluters see results quite quickly, it might take you a little while as everyone responds to treatments in different ways. We recommend taking Absolute Collagen for at least 6 weeks to really notice results. If looking for thicker hair or hair growth we would recommend 4 months as this is how long hair growth cycles take.

Why does Absolute Collagen work for hair?

While collagen doesn’t affect hair directly, it does increase the level of sebum. Sebum naturally conditions the hair, so when we brush or touch our hair, it travels down the scalp and makes the hair smoother. This improves the texture and makes hair shiny and soft.
